Once, while a Kinnus Torah was taking place in 770, a chosson stood outside immersed in conversation with his future father-in-law. The Rebbe, who was passing by at that time, approached them and asked (in surprise) what they were doing.

Gemara Before Davening Chof Elul, 5769

Early one Shabbos morning, a Lubavitcher entered a shul in Florida and saw a bachur approach the Rosh Yeshiva, asking him to explain to him a particular Gemara. The Lubavitcher was shocked, bachurim learning Gemara on Shabbos morning before davening?! He resolved to send the Rebbe a letter informing him of what he had seen. The Rebbe replied - Thanks for the Bsura Tova, please inform me of more such good news in the future!
